  1. Walk On

This song was written long ago and was purely fictional. After my divorce in 2000, however, it seemed like a premonition. It's basically about moving on through and away from any adversity one might be going through. We added a backwards reverb effect to the guitar which made it a challenge to play and control. I thought at times that I could have gone back and refined that a little, but I was determined on this record to not fuss over things too much.

Lyrics

The mission bell rings
The morning sings
You tore up the vow
And now I taste freedom
Walking in time
To my only rhyme
Where I walk to
Time only tells

Walk on
Walk on
Walk on until you find some peace of mind
Walk on
Walk on
Walk on until you find some peace of mind

All in the same
It’s one crazy game
Like bumper cars
Crash into each other
One day I’ll see or maybe I won’t
At least I’ll be free
Free to walk

Walk on
Walk on
Walk on until you find some peace of mind
Walk on
Walk on
Walk on until you find some peace of mind
