Bill Reveles wrote the lyrics for this one. All I told him was that I was thinking of "Any Day" as a title. Bill came up with the idea for the "telephone" scratchy rhythm loop that comes in. Arlan played the guitar arpeggio, I came up with for the opening, on the piano. I was pretty happy with how this one came out. I did a radio promotion with this song and it was actually in the top ten on one station in Illinois for a few weeks. My first top ten hit!

Lyrics

Mid-morning I can’t get back to sleep
Mid-moment the things we used to be
I remember the argue and retreat
And surrender

Mid-evening I can’t find my face
When I push the quick I am running late
I am lighter when I find
The love inside the hate

Break down a heart that will always break
Break through a start I have never made
Anyday
Anyday

I feel better when I don’t have to lie
I am more scared every time I try
I dim brighter when I stand on my own

Break down a heart that will always break
Break through a start I have never made
Anyday
Anyday
