From the recordings Morris Road and Morris Road
Just a straight ahead rocker that came out a little more country rock than what I envisioned, but was a lot of fun to record. I played the lead guitar intro. Bill and I sang background vocals on this.
Lyrics
I’m so tired of all this circling
Around a light that has none
I see a way out but I don’t take it
I just feel frozen
Too much time out of my hands
Too much love pouring like sand
All I get for pain is a new outlook
I’m seeing through blue
There’s a solid moon
Shining down on us
Enough light to see you
I don’t know anything at all
But my heart is a wolf
It calls
Calls me back to you
Calls me back to you
The sun is breaking through the doubt
We’ve both been down and out
It’s time to put this all behind
There’s a broken house with a broken roof
I often wonder
I’d like to fix it up, paint it how you like
So we can live there
Too much time out of my hands
Too much love pouring like sand
I don’t know anything at all
But my heart is a wolf
It calls
Calls me back to you
Calls me back to you
